We are so excited that you have decided to visit us today on our webpage. You can browse around and learn who we are. We join together at least twice a week to learn about who God is. We give God the glory in all that we do as a group and individually. |

Wednesday Nights is a time that all of our middle school and high school student join together to worship with songs and a biblical message that ties to their season of life as teenagers. We have a game for fun to have some friendly competition or that ties into the message. After our message we make time for them to gather in smaller groups that breaks down the message and a time of prayer. The small groups is one of the best times as the students open up to each other and share their story of life and how god is working in them. We invite you to come out and join us soon. At Highland we believe one of the keys to building the church body in unity and a good foundation is through our life groups (sunday school). Life groups in the student ministry is divided up into middle school and high school classes. This provides each group to relate to each other on a more relevant atmosphere and also allow the teachers to share at different levels.
We believe the Gospel Project by lifeway is sound material that takes our students through the bible from genesis to revelation in a three year cycle. So if your student is here from 6th grade to 12th grade then they will hear the bible twice just in life groups on sunday mornings. A couple times a year we us Rightnowmedia to have a 4 week study of a book of the bible that have a brief video to introduce the lesson. Then we break out into groups to really dig into the scripture that the video is driving around.
The Gospel Project does a great job breaking down the word of God and providing depth, application, and questions/challenges each week. Each of our teachers have developed their own unique way of presenting the material but most of all we allow the Holy Spirit to control the lesson each week. God is really doing some great things in our life groups and we want to invite you to join us at 9:00am on sunday mornings. We hope to see you soon to join us in growing together in His word.

What is Student Leadership Team
Student Leadership team is a group of students that join together at least once a month to help discover who God has created them to be and there talents. We don't have the answer to exactly what God wants for each person but we can work together to find our strengths and weakness. Knowing your strength is very important but also knowing your weakness is just as important. If you know a area you are weak you can work on it or I believe God provides other people in our lives to help us in that our weakness is there strength.
We will also help our students get plugged into the church serving as a youth so that they can begin developing there skills and experience. Each of these students will have some role in the youth program as a leader to help them apply there gifts from God to life and the youth group.
