From Pastor Dusty
Dear Church Family,
I want to take a few minutes to share my heart behind the desire from God for doing Judgement House at Highland Baptist Church. I have been to several JH's with youth groups over the years. It has been a amazing event that they asked to go to each year and the group has grown spiritually every time. God didn't ask us to stay comfortable in our realm of people and our own events to share the gospel but reach out. Most of the time we are scared to reach out, including me.
JH is a awesome opportunity for our church to get outside the box and truly seek to see lives changed for eternity. It will also bring a whole new realm of Spirit to the church. An opportunity to see more lives saved in two weekends than most people see in a lifetime. To see a body work together and unity for a event that will change the city and county. It is a wonderful chance to make a difference in this county for the Kingdom of God in a way that has not been seen in a while.
I understand it will cost money, about 50-60 volunteers, and lots of hard work, but I am all in for Judgement House at Highland. We have a perfect facility, and location to reach thousands and thousands of people. I am probably just as scared or nervous about this event as you are, but I truly believe this is an event for Highland this year.
I have talked to and looked into whether we have time to get it together this year and I feel this is something we can do for sure. There is a pastor in Lumberton, NC that has offered to help with the administration part and help the leaders get on the right track from the beginning. I truly feel this a perfect opportunity to get the Gospel to people in Stanly and surrounding countys. Thanks for your prayers and time.
Please take a few moments to watch some videos from a few churches in the past.
